How to Use the Trend Micro MCP in Google ADK
Build enterprise agents on Google Cloud to analyze Trend Micro data with the Google ADK.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Trend Micro MCP to Google ADK
Create your Vinkius account to connect Trend Micro to Google ADK and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Analyze Security Alerts
The Google ADK lets your agent process massive amounts of security context. You can pull a list of all alerts using `list_security_alerts`, or drill down into specifics with `get_alert_details`. Since you're on BigQuery, this data flows right next to your other corporate records for comparison.
Examine Endpoint History
Need a historical view of device actions? Your agent can search `list_endpoint_activity_logs` and also get a list of all managed endpoints via `list_managed_endpoints`. This is perfect for long-context reasoning. BigQuery handles the volume, so you don't run into data limits when analyzing years of logs.
Validate Threat Intelligence
The agent can quickly check suspicious items using `list_suspicious_objects`. It also tracks what happened in emails with `list_email_activity_logs` and all recent detections via `list_recent_detections`. All this telemetry flows into the Gemini models for deep, contextual analysis.
Set up Trend Micro MCP in Google ADK
Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+ installed
-
google-adkpackage (pip install google-adk) - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install Google ADK
Run
pip install google-adkto install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via theMcpToolsetclass. - 2
Connect via SSE transport
Use
McpToolset.from_server()withSseServerParamspointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Create an LlmAgent
Pass the returned
mcp_toolslist directly toLlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required. - 4
Run with any Gemini model
The agent works with any Gemini model (
gemini-2.0-flash,gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Trend Micro tools in your ADK agent.
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams
# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
connection_params=SseServerParams(
url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)
)
# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
name="Trend Micro_agent",
model="gemini-2.0-flash",
instruction="You have access to Trend Micro tools via MCP.",
tools=mcp_tools,
