How to Use the Tumblr MCP in Cursor
Inject live Tumblr data directly into your code using Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Tumblr MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Tumblr to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write scripts that search Tumblr content with Cursor
Use `list_tagged_posts` inside Agent mode to generate code that finds posts matching a tag. Instead of mock data, the AI writes working functions using real API responses. This means you're not just writing boilerplate; you're building context-aware tools right in your editor.
Process full Tumblr feeds within Cursor
To build a feed summary, let the AI call `list_blog_posts`. It will then write the code necessary to iterate over that list and format it for display or parsing. This saves you time by handling the data ingestion loop automatically.
Get specific Tumblr post details using Cursor
If you need to build a single-post viewer, use `get_post` to fetch all the metadata and content for one piece. You can pair this with `get_blog_avatar` to display the source's image. The resulting code snippet will be ready to run, using actual Tumblr data.
