Connect Twist MCP to VS Code Copilot
Create your Vinkius account to connect Twist to VS Code Copilot and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
View Team Channels and Threads
To see what teams are talking about, you run `list_channels(workspace_id)`. This makes sure every developer on the team knows which workspace channels exist. It keeps everyone on the same page. For detailed conversation history, `list_threads(channel_id)` shows all threads within a channel. Copilot Chat uses this data to give context when you write code related to these discussions.
Manage Private Team Comms
Need to talk to one person? You use `send_direct_message(conversation_id, content)` to send a private message. This keeps sensitive conversations away from public view. If that DM contains wrong info, the agent can fix it using `update_direct_message(message_id)`. It’s vital for maintaining data integrity across your team's work.
Control Discussion Flow
To start a new discussion point that needs tracking, you use `create_thread(channel_id, title, initial_content)`. This formalizes an async conversation for the whole engineering team. If the scope of the thread changes, call `update_thread(thread_id)` to update either the title or the content. The MCP Server ensures this shared knowledge base is always current.
