Connect Umbraco MCP to Windsurf
Create your Vinkius account to connect Umbraco to Windsurf and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Managing Content Status via MCP Server
Need to update a document? The `update_cms_document` tool lets you modify existing fields in Umbraco. You provide the document ID and the new JSON data, and it writes changes directly. This also handles content creation with `create_cms_document`. Just give it the schema details, and your agent builds a brand-new document right inside Umbraco CMS.
Querying Content Structure
Figure out what schemas are available using `list_document_types`. This tool lists every document type (schema) defined in the Umbraco backoffice. Want to find specific pieces of content? Use `query_delivery_content` by specifying criteria, like a particular content type. It filters results from Umbraco using its native Delivery API query syntax.
Media and Asset Handling
Access all your files with the dedicated media tools. `list_media_assets` gives you a rundown of every image or file sitting in the Umbraco Media library. If you need to pull specific text, `get_delivery_content_by_path` works off a URL path (like `/home/about`). It pulls that exact content item right out of Umbraco for your agent to use.
