Generate code from live SQL results.

When you need to write working code, use `execute_sql_query` to run the query against Veraset. The resulting data can then be injected directly into your file's context. You follow up by calling `get_query_results` to feed that real output into your function.

Identify and structure dataset fields.

Before you write a single line, check the available resources using `list_mobility_datasets`. To know what columns exist in those datasets, run `get_dataset_schema` for the required IDs. This tells your code exactly what variables to expect.

Manage S3 data delivery pipelines.

Veraset delivers scheduled files to structured S3 locations. You can list these drop zones using `list_s3_delivery_folders`. For any specific file, the server creates a secure download link with `generate_download_link`.

Setup guide

Set up Veraset MCP in Cursor

Prerequisites

  • Cursor installed (macOS, Windows, or Linux)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Open MCP Settings

Go to Cursor Settings → MCP or open the Command Palette (Cmd+Shift+P / Ctrl+Shift+P) and search for "MCP: Add Server".

  2. 2

    Add the Veraset MCP

Cursor will create or open .cursor/mcp.json in your project root. Paste the JSON snippet on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Enable Agent mode

Open Composer (Cmd+I / Ctrl+I) and switch to Agent mode using the dropdown at the top. MCP tools are only available in Agent mode.

  4. 4

    Verify the connection

Ask Cursor something like "List my recent Veraset transactions." If the MCP tools are loaded correctly, Cursor will call the Veraset tools automatically. You can also check Settings → MCP for a green status indicator.

Common questions about Veraset MCP in Cursor

Your agent uses the MCP Server to execute SQL queries against Veraset. This lets the AI generate code that relies on real, live data responses from mobility datasets.
Check `get_query_status`. If it shows an error, you might need to use `get_dataset_metadata` to verify the dataset ID or schema before retrying.
Yeah. You can run `get_dataset_sample` for any given dataset ID. This gives your agent enough context to start writing the correct code without pulling massive result sets.
It handles mobility datasets, which means you're dealing with geospatial and movement patterns. This is key when coding up location-based features.
The server touches mobility datasets. Always confirm that the scope of your SQL query adheres to internal usage policies before running it via the agent.
