Connect Vimeo MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Vimeo to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Programmatic Content Auditing
Cline lets you write code that interacts with your entire Vimeo setup. You can build a script that iterates through all projects by calling `list_folders` and then checks the video count in each using `list_videos`. This is perfect for generating inventory reports. The server also exposes groups and showcases, allowing you to map out your content structure against existing database records.
Metadata Retrieval and Search
Need a specific piece of data? You can write functions that use `get_video` or `search_videos` to pull metadata into your application's object model. This isn't just reading; it’s structuring the output for immediate use in your code. Retrieving user context with `get_me` ensures your scripts are always running under the correct identity.
Automated Content Lifecycle Management
Write handlers that manage Vimeo assets entirely within your codebase. You can write a function using `update_video` to batch-change tags across dozens of videos, for example. If an asset is deprecated, you'll write the cleanup logic around `delete_video`. Cline handles running these end-to-end tasks and showing you the final diff.
