How to Use the Vimeo MCP in Cursor
Write and code against Vimeo data directly in Cursor's Agent Mode.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Vimeo MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Vimeo to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Programmatic Content Management
The `update_video` tool lets you write code that changes video metadata, like changing a description or adding tags. The AI generates the function call and injects live results directly into your file. This means you aren't just seeing mock data; your script uses real Vimeo API responses.
Contextual Content Discovery
When developing code that needs public video examples, use `search_videos`. The agent can execute this call and write the results right into a function's test case. This keeps your context live. It’s perfect for writing boilerplate code around external content sources.
Accessing User Data Structures
Need to map out project structure? Call `list_folders` or `list_channels`. The AI reads the output and lets you integrate those structured lists into your codebase. You'll get a working list of folder IDs, for example. This ability saves time when building multi-step applications.
