Build and execute full emissions calculation pipelines.

Need to process a batch of activity data? Start by creating the container using `create_upload`. Your agent can then iterate through records, uploading raw activity data via `upload_data_records` for electricity use or shipping logs. Once all data is loaded and validated with `validate_upload`, you execute the final calculation using `submit_upload`. Cline's strength is chaining these steps together: from initial upload container creation to calculating emissions, it runs the whole sequence without needing manual intervention between stages.

Retrieve and analyze specific GHG inventory data.

To understand your organization's carbon footprint for a given year, you first run `list_inventories` to get all available records. Then, using the target ID, `get_inventory` retrieves deep details on Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions composition. This is crucial data for internal analysis. It also lets you check out specific measurements by calling `list_measurements`. You can filter this list to focus only on activity types or emission factors relevant to your current code module.

Programmatically generate compliance reports.

When it's time for disclosure, you don't want a GUI. Use `list_reports` to see what report formats are available (like TCFD or CDP). Then, use `get_report` with the ID to pull down the full structured data and generated files directly into your script. If the underlying data changes—say you update an activity record using `update_upload_data_record`—you can re-run this whole report generation process immediately after validation.

Common questions about Watershed Climate MCP in Cline

You first list all inventories using `list_inventories` to find the year. Then, you run `get_inventory` using that ID. This gives your script granular access to Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data for immediate analysis.
First, use `list_reports` to see all available output types. You then call `get_report` using the specific report ID you need. This feeds structured data directly into your running code or CI/CD pipeline.
After calling `submit_upload`, the process returns a task ID. You must use `get_task_status` repeatedly until the status confirms completion or failure, allowing your code to proceed only when ready.
You call `list_upload_data_records`. This tool provides a record of every piece of activity data associated with an upload, letting your code review the inputs before running validation or submission.
Start by listing all existing containers with `list_uploads`. Once you have a list of IDs, you can loop through them to retrieve details using `get_upload` or process data in bulk.
