Script new customer records using the Wave Accounting MCP Server.
Need to add a client before writing an invoice? Use `create_accounting_customer`, passing in the name and email directly. Cline treats this like any other API call, making it easy to test. You can also use `get_customer_details` to verify that the record was created correctly and pull back the necessary unique customer ID for later scripts.
Generate draft invoices programmatically with the Wave Accounting MCP Server.
The `create_draft_invoice` tool is key here. You feed it a required customer ID and a JSON array of items, and it generates the full invoice structure. Once the code runs, you'll have an immediate draft to work with. Remember that this action only creates a draft; you still need to manually approve it if you want it finalized.
Execute accounting cleanup scripts using the Wave Accounting MCP Server.
Writing clean code means cleaning up old data too. You can run `delete_draft_invoice` within your script to remove unfinalized billing records. If you're building a full dashboard, use `list_accounting_customers` and `list_accounting_invoices` first. This lets your test suite verify all existing accounts and bills before the new feature ships.
