How to Use the Workast MCP in Cursor
Inject Workast project data into your code using Cursor's Agent mode.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Workast MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Workast to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Write code based on current tasks.
Need to write a script that checks task status? The agent calls `get_task` and injects the live JSON data right into your editor. You're not dealing with stubs here. You can use this response immediately in your function logic, making sure your code reflects real Workast data.
Build team directory lookups.
If your code needs to validate a user ID against the company roster, let the agent call `list_users`. The returned list populates context variables you can reference. Then, use `get_user` for specific details and build out reliable endpoints.
Automate space creation in code.
Start a new project feature by first using the agent to execute `create_space`. The API response—which includes the ID of the new workspace—is immediately available. You can then use that ID in subsequent calls, like calling `create_task` within that new scope.
