WorldNewsAPI Context Injection in Cursor

The `search_world_news` tool lets the AI generate working code using real API responses. You can write a function that searches for news based on a user query. It's not mock data; it’s live context injected right where your cursor is blinking. This makes building apps around timely information way easier.

Extract News from URL in Cursor

You can use `extract_news_from_url` to pull article content and metadata into a variable within your script. Just provide the source link, and the AI handles parsing it. You immediately have structured data you can write to a database or pass through an API call without leaving the editor.

Check WorldNewsAPI Status in Cursor

Run `check_api_status` first. This verifies that the MCP Server connection is active before your code tries to make live external calls. It's a critical pre-flight check. If the status fails, you know immediately that your application won’t work until the service is back online.
