How to Use the Zip MCP in Google ADK
Process financial logic and payments with Google ADK.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Zip MCP to Google ADK
Create your Vinkius account to connect Zip to Google ADK and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Execute full checkout sessions
The `create_zip_checkout` tool initializes a new checkout session, requiring amount, currency, and redirect URLs. This sets the stage for your payment flow. The agent can then execute subsequent actions like `authorize_zip_order` or complete it with `confirm_zip_order`.
Query order state details
Use `get_zip_order_status` to pull the current status of any target Zip order. The response tells you if the transaction is Authorized, Captured, or Cancelled. This allows your agent to write logic based on the real-time financial state before making a move.
Manage payment reversals
For handling refunds, run `refund_zip_payment` against an order. This processes the money back to the original source. Alternatively, if authorization happened but no capture occurred, use `void_zip_payment` to clean up the pending funds.

- Python 3.10+ installed
-
google-adkpackage (pip install google-adk) - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install Google ADK
Run
pip install google-adkto install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via theMcpToolsetclass. - 2
Connect via SSE transport
Use
McpToolset.from_server()withSseServerParamspointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Create an LlmAgent

mcp_toolslist directly toLlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required. - 4
Run with any Gemini model
The agent works with any Gemini model (
gemini-2.0-flash,gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Zip tools in your ADK agent.
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams
# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
connection_params=SseServerParams(
url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)
)
# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
name="Zip_agent",
model="gemini-2.0-flash",
instruction="You have access to Zip tools via MCP.",
tools=mcp_tools,
