  Is my bank data safe?

  Yes. The parsing happens locally on your machine. Your raw bank files are never uploaded to the cloud or sent to the AI provider.

  What file types does this MCP support?

  It supports standard OFX and QFX files exported from most global banks.

  Does the AI see my raw bank statement?

  No. The MCP extracts only the necessary transaction data into JSON. The AI only sees the organized numbers, not the raw file structure.

  Yes. This MCP works with any MCP-compatible client including Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code.

  Why can't I just upload the file to my AI directly?

  Raw OFX files use a complex SGML structure that often causes AI models to hallucinate or misread numbers. This MCP ensures the data is clean and accurate.

  Are my bank statements uploaded to Anthropic or OpenAI?

  Absolutely not. The parsing engine runs entirely on your local machine. It extracts the raw numbers and feeds them securely to the AI chat context window only during the session.

  What exact data is extracted from the OFX?

  It extracts the bank ID, account ID, currency, and the full array of statement transactions including TRNTYPE, DTPOSTED, TRNAMT, FITID, NAME, and MEMO.
