Key Capabilities

Map vendors using Google ADK and Openli

The `list_vendors` tool retrieves your active list of third-party processors so your Gemini agent can cross-reference them with databases in BigQuery. The agent uses `get_vendor` to pull specific details on any processor flag that requires a legal review. Because Google ADK handles long-context reasoning up to 1M tokens, your agent can analyze massive vendor contracts alongside the live vendor list. This lets you pinpoint compliance gaps across thousands of vendor records in seconds.

Log user consent directly from Google ADK agents

This MCP Server provides `save_consent` to record visitor preferences directly to your central compliance database. Your Gemini agent queries existing records with `list_consents` to ensure returning users are not prompted twice. You configure the connection by passing `McpToolset` into the `LlmAgent` tool list. This allows the agent to execute consent updates autonomously during chat interactions or batch processing runs.

Manage DSAR queues on Google Cloud

The `list_dsars` tool exposes all active data subject access requests to your Google ADK agent for automated processing. When a user files a new request, the agent triggers `create_dsar` to kick off the backend deletion workflow. To limit operational risk, you can apply a `tool_names` filter to your toolset parameters. This restricts the Gemini agent to read-only tools like `get_dsar` while blocking destructive actions.

Setup guide

Set up Openli MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Openli tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="Openli_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to Openli tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about Openli MCP in Google ADK

Use `McpToolset` with `StreamableHttpServerParameters` pointing to your Vinkius URL. Pass this toolset directly into the `tools` list of your `LlmAgent` instance.
Yes. The agent calls `list_audit_logs` to ingest compliance history, using Gemini's large context window to spot anomalies or missing consent records across your entire operating history.
The agent runs `check_openli_status` to verify the connection is active. If the server is unreachable, the SDK handles the transport error, allowing your agent to retry or alert your team.
Yes, you can pass a specific list of allowed tools to the `tool_names` filter in `McpToolset`. This prevents the agent from running write operations like `create_agreement`.
All communication between the Google ADK agent and the Vinkius endpoint is fully encrypted. The sandbox handles authorization tokens securely, ensuring that sensitive vendor details and agreement text are never exposed to unauthorized networks.
