How to Use the Openli MCP in Windsurf

Key Capabilities
Draft agreements directly in Windsurf
You don't want to leave your editor to update an Openli privacy policy. Tell Cascade what changed in your data model. It reads your backend code, figures out the new data collection points, and fires off `create_agreement` to generate the exact legal document you need. It doesn't stop at generation. Cascade pulls the current active policies using `list_agreements` to compare versions. If a new third-party API requires an update, your agent spots it and drafts the revision immediately.
Automate consent tracking via MCP Server
Building a cookie banner means you have to log user consent into Openli. You can ask Windsurf to implement the frontend component, and Cascade will automatically wire it up to the server using the `save_consent` tool. When you need to verify if a user agreed to a specific policy, Cascade just runs `get_consent`. It pulls the exact timestamp and policy version straight into your IDE, saving you a trip to a compliance dashboard.
Resolve data subject requests fast
Handling an Openli Data Subject Access Request usually ruins an afternoon. With this integration, you just tell Cascade a user asked for their data. It runs `create_dsar` to open the ticket and uses `list_vendors` to see exactly where that user's data lives. Cascade chains these actions together. It checks `list_audit_logs` to verify the request history, builds a summary of the user's footprint, and prepares the deletion script. You just review the output.
