Key Capabilities
Generate tests in Cursor from live code
The `create_test` tool allows your Cursor agent to write test cases in your codebase and register them in your PractiTest project simultaneously. You write the code in Cursor, and the editor handles the PractiTest documentation. By calling `list_tests` first, the Cursor agent checks for duplicates in your current PractiTest test suite. This ensures you do not waste time creating PractiTest test cases that already exist in your Cursor workspace.
Log test runs directly from the Cursor terminal
The `create_run` tool records your execution results directly from the Cursor terminal into your PractiTest dashboard. Your Cursor agent catches terminal errors and logs the PractiTest failure status automatically. Running `list_runs` in Cursor lets you verify that the execution logged successfully to PractiTest. This loop keeps your focus entirely on fixing the broken code in your Cursor editor rather than checking PractiTest.
Sync Cursor context with this MCP Server
The `get_requirement` tool pulls live requirements from your PractiTest project directly into your Cursor chat sidebar. You can write code in Cursor that perfectly matches the PractiTest specifications. Calling `list_requirements` gives the Cursor agent a bird's-eye view of what still needs to be built in PractiTest. It then suggests Cursor code changes to cover those missing PractiTest gaps.
