Key Capabilities
Keep Test Suites in Sync Automatically
Point Windsurf's Cascade agent at a new feature branch and tell it to update your QA suite. It uses `list_projects` and `list_tests` to understand the current state of your PractiTest project. Based on your high-level goal, Cascade determines which tests are missing and calls `create_test` to add them. You don't feed it a list of commands. You give it an objective, and it figures out the steps to get there.
Connect Requirements to Live Test Runs
Traceability is a pain. This makes it automatic. Ask Cascade to 'verify the requirements for the new checkout flow are covered'. It calls `list_requirements` to pull the relevant items from PractiTest. Then, it creates the necessary tests and triggers them with `create_run`. Each run is automatically linked back to the requirement, closing the loop. No more manually copy-pasting IDs between systems.
Full-Cycle QA with your Windsurf MCP Server
Handle your entire QA workflow with a single prompt. Tell Cascade, 'Run the full regression suite for Project Firefly and report failures.' It uses `get_project` to find the ID, `list_tests` to gather the test set, and then executes `create_run` for every single one. When it's done, you can follow up with, 'Summarize the failed runs from today.' Cascade will call `list_runs`, filter the data, and give you a clean summary. That’s the difference between a simple command-runner and a true agent.
