Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Splitwise MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Splitwise to Cursor — we handle the hosting, security, and runtime updates so you don't have to. No server setup required.
Key Capabilities
Retrieve current group and expense data.
Need a balance check while you're mid-function? Just call `get_group` to grab the latest ledger info. You can then use that JSON response directly in your code block. Alternatively, calling `get_expenses` lets you loop through all past transactions and build complex financial logic.
Get specific friend or user details.
Before calculating a share, you might need to confirm the recipient's ID. Use `get_friend` for quick lookups on contacts, or go deeper with `get_user(id)` to pull full user profiles. This ensures your code uses accurate IDs when writing payment calculations.
Handle expense creation programmatically.
If your script detects a new cost, don't manually enter it. Use `create_expense` and feed the details directly into the API call within your code. You just need to structure the JSON right. This means your application has live data input capabilities without leaving your coding environment.
