How to Use the ArcXP MCP in Cursor
Code and test ArcXP custom integrations inside Cursor using live production ANS data.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect ArcXP MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect ArcXP to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Live ANS Schema Validation inside Cursor
The `get_ans_content` tool pulls real production JSON from your CMS directly into your Cursor editor. You write code against actual ArcXP payloads instead of guessing the structure from stale documentation. When building frontends, Cursor uses this live data to generate precise TypeScript types. You run tests against actual production articles, ensuring your rendering code never breaks on unexpected null values.
Rapid Newsroom Search via Cursor Agent
The `search_ans_content` tool runs deep queries across your ArcXP newsroom database directly from the Cursor sidebar. Your Cursor agent scans articles to find specific patterns or legacy code blocks you need to refactor. Pairing this tool with `get_photo_asset` lets you inspect how media assets link to specific stories. You debug layout bugs in your editor using the exact media payloads your production API serves.
Safe CMS Updates using this MCP Server
The `update_ans_content` tool pushes code-generated CMS updates directly from your Cursor terminal using this MCP Server. You script bulk content migrations and let Cursor execute them field-by-field. If you need to purge test pages, the `delete_ans_content` tool destroys specified assets permanently. Cursor manages the API calls safely, letting you clean up your ArcXP dev environment with single commands.
