Integrate ArcXP with Your Google Cloud Data

This server exposes the entire ArcXP content toolkit to your Gemini-powered agent. It can fetch articles with `get_ans_content`, look up authors with `get_content_author`, and update stories using `update_ans_content`. Your agent gets direct, programmatic access to your CMS. The real power comes from combining this with Google Cloud. An agent could analyze trends in a BigQuery table, decide to write a new article, create a draft in ArcXP with `create_ans_content`, and then search for a relevant photo using `search_photo_assets`.

Long-Context Content Operations

Let your agent reason over entire articles or collections of search results. With Gemini's massive context window, you can feed it the full JSON from `get_ans_content` or multiple results from `search_ans_content`. The agent can then perform complex edits before sending a payload back to `update_ans_content`. This is great for summarization or revision tasks. Your agent can hold the content of five different articles, identify common themes, and then generate a new summary piece, creating it in ArcXP in a single, reasoned operation. No more chunking data and losing context.

Build Your Publishing Pipeline with a Google ADK MCP Server

Use the Google ADK to define agents that manage specific parts of your workflow. One agent could monitor an external feed, another could be responsible for creating content shells in ArcXP, and a third could handle adding media assets via `get_photo_asset` and `get_video_asset`. You wrap the ArcXP tools in an `McpToolset` and pass it to your `LlmAgent`. The ADK gives you control over which tools are exposed, so you can build a specialized 'delete' agent that's the only one with access to the `delete_ans_content` tool. This is a solid MCP Server for any Google-based agent.

Setup guide

Set up ArcXP MCP in Google ADK

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.10+ installed
  • google-adk package (pip install google-adk)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
  1. 1

    Install Google ADK

    Run pip install google-adk to install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via the McpToolset class.

  2. 2

    Connect via SSE transport

    Use McpToolset.from_server() with SseServerParams pointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your token from cloud.vinkius.com.

  3. 3

    Create an LlmAgent

    Pass the returned mcp_tools list directly to LlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required.

  4. 4

    Run with any Gemini model

    The agent works with any Gemini model (gemini-2.0-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with ArcXP tools in your ADK agent.

agent.py
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams

# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
    connection_params=SseServerParams(
        url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
    )
)

# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
    name="ArcXP_agent",
    model="gemini-2.0-flash",
    instruction="You have access to ArcXP tools via MCP.",
    tools=mcp_tools,
)

Common questions about ArcXP MCP in Google ADK

You'll `pip install google-adk`, then create an `McpToolset` instance pointing to the Vinkius server URL. Pass that toolset into the `tools` list when you initialize your `LlmAgent`. You can also filter specific tool names if needed.
Yes, that's a primary use case. The Google ADK is designed to integrate with Google Cloud services. Your agent can have toolsets for both ArcXP (via this MCP server) and BigQuery, allowing it to query data and then act on it in the CMS.
The key advantage is its deep integration with the Google ecosystem and Gemini's long-context models. If your data and infrastructure are already on Google Cloud, the ADK provides the most direct path to building agents that can reason over large amounts of information and interact with ArcXP.
The Google ADK is part of the Gemini ecosystem and is optimized for it. While it's primarily designed for Google's models, the focus is on building agents within the Google Cloud environment.
The requests containing your ArcXP data—like ANS content objects or photo library search queries—are proxied through Vinkius. The infrastructure is ephemeral, meaning the container processing your request is destroyed after use. Vinkius doesn't persist your CMS content.
