Cline maps Box structures in VS Code
This Box MCP Server uses `list_folder_items` to let Cline read your cloud directory tree from root "0". Cline builds a local map of your assets to understand where to place generated assets or documentation. It queries `get_folder_info` to check modification dates and sizes. This keeps your editor workspace synchronized with the actual files stored in your cloud team drives.
Full-text search inside enterprise documents
The `search_content` tool performs deep text queries inside your cloud files directly from Cline. Cline finds technical specs inside PDFs or Excel sheets and uses them to write precise code. You can restrict searches to specific parent folders. This prevents Cline from scanning the wrong directories when looking for project-specific variables.
Folder provisioning and collaboration audits
This Box MCP Server handles directory generation via `create_folder` which places new folders in the root by default. Cline sets up these structures to organize build artifacts or export logs. It checks access permissions using `get_folder_collaborations` and matches them against your enterprise directory via `list_users`. This ensures your files are shared with the correct team members.
