Cascade crawls Box via this MCP Server
This Box MCP Server exposes `list_folder_items` so Windsurf can inspect your files starting from root folder "0". Cascade analyzes the folder structure, determines where your assets live, and updates its plan without you clicking around. When Cascade needs details, it triggers `get_folder_info` or `get_file_info` to read metadata. You get a clear view of your storage hierarchy without leaving the editor.
Deep content search across documents
The `search_content` tool lets your Windsurf agent find text inside PDFs, Word documents, and spreadsheets. Cascade runs these searches to extract context from your enterprise storage when you ask questions about project specs. It filters results by file extensions like xlsx or docx. This means Cascade doesn't waste time reading irrelevant files when resolving a code issue.
Automated folder setup and collaboration check
The `create_folder` tool handles workspace generation, defaulting new folders to root if you don't specify a parent. Cascade sets up the directories your project needs and instantly verifies who has access. Running `get_folder_collaborations` lets Windsurf see who is assigned to each directory. It lists users with `list_users` to make sure your team members are on the invite list before starting a build.
