Connect ClinicalTrials.gov MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect ClinicalTrials.gov to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Code with real, structured trial data
Use the `search_clinical_trials` tool to have Cursor's agent query the live database. Ask it to find trials for a specific drug, then tell it to generate a Python function that parses the results. You get working code based on the actual data structure. Stop writing code against stale mock data. With this tool, your agent builds functions using real-world API responses, which cuts down on rework and debugging later.
Get full trial details inside your editor
The `get_trial_details` tool fetches the complete study information for any NCT identifier. If you have an ID in a comment or a variable, just highlight it and ask the agent to 'get details for this trial and create a JSON object'. Cursor will drop the formatted data right where you need it. It’s perfect for quickly scaffolding data models or populating test fixtures without ever leaving your IDE.
Find recruiting studies for your health app
The `find_recruiting_trials` tool is built for finding active studies. While coding a feature, you can ask the agent, 'find recruiting trials for pediatric asthma in New York'. It returns structured data you can use immediately. This MCP server gives your agent direct access to enrollment information. You can build features that show users relevant, joinable trials based on their profile, powered by live data.
