Headless Billing via Claude Code

The `list_activities` tool pulls time entries, hours, rates, and billing statuses straight into your terminal. You write a bash script to calculate weekly revenue. Claude Code executes the tool headlessly and pipes the output into your reporting pipeline. Managing invoices via CLI requires the `list_bills` and `get_bill` tools. You set up a cron job to check for outstanding receivables every Friday. The agent grabs the balances, formats the data, and sends it to your Slack channel using this MCP Server.

Cron Tasks

Automating deadline checks relies on the `list_tasks` tool to filter firm-wide to-dos by matter. You tell the agent to find everything due tomorrow. It runs the query in the background and prints a clean list to standard output. Adding new deadlines happens through `create_task`. Your GitHub Action parses incoming emails, extracts court dates, and triggers the agent to log the reminders automatically. Nobody has to touch a mouse.

Auditing Users via MCP

Auditing firm activity starts with the `list_users` tool to map team workload and distribution. You ask the agent who handles the most cases. It fetches the user list, cross-references it against `list_matters`, and returns the breakdown in seconds. Tracking case progress involves `list_matter_stages` via this MCP connection. You build an automated script that checks how many cases sit in Discovery versus Trial. The agent processes the stages and updates your internal database.
