Building Apps with Cline
The `list_matters` tool pulls open, closed, or pending cases straight into your VS Code workspace. Cline reads the JSON response, maps the fields, and generates React components for your custom firm dashboard. You ask for a summary of active cases. The agent fetches the data and writes the UI code. Fetching deeper details requires `get_matter` to grab the responsible attorney, practice area, and status. Cline builds the routing logic and populates the child pages automatically using this MCP Server.
Document Workflows
Auditing files starts with the `list_documents` tool, which filters by matter and returns filenames, categories, and creation dates. You tell the agent to build a document tracking script. It writes the Python code, tests the endpoint, and shows you the diff. Adding context to these files happens via `create_note`. Cline documents its own strategy decisions or research findings directly into the case file. You never have to leave the editor to update the firm.
Communications Sync
Syncing client emails relies on the `list_communications` tool to pull subjects, bodies, and dates. You instruct the agent to build a sync job. It writes the logic, connects the API, and verifies the output. Finding the right person to link requires `search_contacts` and `get_contact`. Cline looks up the client by email, grabs their physical address, and hardcodes the test fixtures for your new application.
