How to Use the Copernicus Data Space MCP in Cursor
Write geospatial code in Cursor using live Copernicus Data Space satellite metadata without using mock data.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Copernicus Data Space MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Copernicus Data Space to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate code using live Copernicus Data Space data
The `search_products` tool feeds actual Copernicus Data Space metadata directly to Cursor's agent. Instead of writing code with placeholder JSON, you write scripts using real Sentinel-2 footprints and sensing dates. Your editor reads the live API payload and auto-completes your parsing logic. You get working geospatial code on the first run because your agent tests the structure with real data.
Target specific satellite orbits in Cursor
The `search_by_orbit_number` tool lets Cursor find exact repeat-pass geometries for your SAR or optical pipelines. This gives your agent the exact UUIDs needed to build change-detection code. By using `get_product` alongside your active file, Cursor writes precise download scripts tailored to the exact file sizes and checksums returned by the API.
Build automated download pipelines with this MCP Server
The `get_product_download_url` tool generates temporary download links and Bearer tokens directly inside Cursor. Your agent writes, runs, and debugs download scripts using active, authenticated links. This eliminates the need to manually log into web portals to grab curl commands. Cursor handles the authentication handshake via `check_copernicus_status` and builds your ingestion pipeline in real time.
