Connect Copernicus Data Space MCP to VS Code Copilot
Create your Vinkius account to connect Copernicus Data Space to VS Code Copilot and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Standardize Copernicus Data Space access across teams
The `list_collections` tool allows your team to query Sentinel and Landsat datasets uniformly inside VS Code Copilot. By committing the configuration to Git, every engineer uses the exact same satellite catalog endpoints. Your team avoids configuration drift. Copilot reads the same collection names like SENTINEL-1 or SENTINEL-2, ensuring that everyone builds against the identical metadata structure.
Inspect satellite files inside VS Code Copilot
The `list_product_nodes` tool displays the internal file hierarchy of any satellite product directly inside your editor. This lets your team inspect the XML and measurement files before committing to a download. Copilot uses this structure to help engineers write selective download scripts. You avoid pulling entire multi-gigabyte SAFE packages when you only need a single metadata XML file.
Accelerate geospatial workflows using this MCP Server
The `search_by_name` tool helps your team find specific Sentinel tiles, like T33UUP, directly within the VS Code Copilot chat panel. Engineers can quickly find orbit passes without leaving the codebase. Copilot uses `get_quicklook` to pull thumbnail previews directly into your workspace. This allows engineers to visually check cloud cover before writing automated processing scripts.
