Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Datadog MCP to Claude Desktop
Create your Vinkius account to connect Datadog to Claude Desktop and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Manage Incidents from Chat
This MCP server connects Claude to your Datadog account so you can manage incidents without opening another tab. Ask Claude to `list_incidents` to see what's currently broken. It gives you a summary right in the chat. Once you spot the problem, you can dig deeper. Tell your agent to `get_incident` with a specific ID for the full details. If you're deploying a fix, you can have Claude `create_event` to mark the deployment in Datadog's timeline. It keeps your whole team in the loop.
Pull Metrics and Dashboards
Stop hunting for the right dashboard. Just ask Claude to `list_dashboards` and pick the one you need from the list. You can even get the details for a specific one with `get_dashboard`. When you need raw numbers, the `query_metrics` tool is what you'll use. Ask your agent something like, "graph the p95 latency for the checkout service over the last hour." It translates your request into a proper Datadog query and brings back the data. No more fighting with the query builder.
Your Datadog MCP Server for Logs
The `search_logs` tool is probably what you'll use most. It lets you ask Claude to find specific log entries. Forget complex filter syntax. Just say, "find logs with 'payment failed' for user 123 in the last 30 minutes." This is a huge time-saver when you're debugging an issue. Your agent can find the exact error message, stack trace, or request ID you need and drop it directly into your conversation. This is way faster than clicking and filtering in the web UI.
