Code dashboards with live staff data
Cline doesn't just read API docs; it actually fetches your live company data to build components. You tell it to create a roster widget, and it runs `list_active_rosters` to get the exact data structure. Because the agent sees the real JSON response, it writes the TypeScript interfaces perfectly the first time. It then builds the React component, maps the shifts, and shows you the diff right in your editor.
Automate timesheet audits via MCP Server
Writing scripts to check payroll discrepancies is tedious. You can ask Cline to build a Node script that cross-checks `list_completed_timesheets` against scheduled hours. The agent handles the authentication automatically via `get_authenticated_user`. It writes the fetch logic, runs a test execution using `list_workforce_employees`, and outputs a working CSV exporter while you watch.
Build PTO trackers inside VS Code
Tracking vacation time usually requires complex API wiring. Cline simplifies this by calling `list_leave_requests` directly to see who has upcoming time off. Need to filter for managers? The agent chains that data with `list_pending_leave_approvals` and `get_employee_profile` to build a custom internal dashboard. It creates the files, writes the tests, and stages the commit.
