Write code with real roster data in Cursor
The `list_active_rosters` tool lets your editor pull live roster information directly into your coding environment. This MCP Server lets you write code against actual schedules instead of writing code against mock employee objects. You can also test location-based features using `list_business_locations`. Having the real API response format on hand means you write working code on the first try, skipping the usual guess-and-test cycle.
Inspect timesheets directly in your editor
The `list_completed_timesheets` tool pulls completed records straight into your chat or terminal window to simplify payroll debugging. You can instantly compare your local database schema against the actual payload from Deputy. To make sense of the hours worked, the agent calls `get_employee_profile` to link timesheets to specific workers. It gives you the full context needed to fix data mapping bugs without leaving your IDE.
Query your workforce database from Cursor
The `list_workforce_employees` tool pulls your entire staff list so you can build custom HR integrations with reliable data. Your agent can also run `search_employees_by_name` to pinpoint individual profiles. Verify API credentials on the fly using `get_authenticated_user` to check permissions. This step ensures your development environment has the correct access levels before you deploy.
