How to Use the Fivetran MCP in Cline
Cline integrates Fivetran tools to automate your data pipeline audits, sync tracking, and user management directly in VS Code.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Fivetran MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Fivetran to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Cline executes Fivetran sync audits
Tell Cline to check your sync health and it calls `list_groups` followed by `list_connectors` to gather the status of every pipeline. It processes the results and shows you which connectors are currently paused or failing. Instead of checking logs manually, you get a summary based on the output of `get_connector`. Cline writes the results into a file or presents them in the terminal, giving you a clear view of your infrastructure.
Manage Fivetran teams with your MCP Server
Cline uses `list_teams` and `list_users` to pull your current account permissions. It compares these against your security list to identify any discrepancies in access levels. Because Cline can write files, it generates a report of all users and their associated teams. You can then ask it to format this data into a table to verify your internal security posture.
Verify destinations using Cline
Use Cline to verify your data routing by calling `get_destination` for any group in your account. It confirms the current target settings and ensures your data lands in the correct destination. Cline fetches the configuration and checks if the destination is active. If you need to verify where a specific pipeline is pointed, the agent extracts the details and reports back to you immediately.
