How to Use the Fivetran MCP in Cursor
Generate code using real-time sync states and connector metadata directly within Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Fivetran MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Fivetran to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Map connector schemas directly into your code
The `list_connectors` tool pulls active MCP metadata into your editor so you can build data models against accurate source schemas. Your agent calls `get_connector` to inspect sync configurations, allowing it to write dbt models or SQL queries that match your exact production setup. Instead of writing code against outdated documentation, you feed your editor live schema structures. This prevents syntax errors and ensures your queries reference actual columns.
Debug failing pipelines inside the Cursor editor
The `get_connector` tool retrieves detailed error logs and sync states when a pipeline stalls. Your agent reads these API responses to explain why a replication failed, suggesting fixes for database schema drift or network timeouts. You avoid digging through web consoles to find out why your tables are stale. The editor pulls the failure details right next to your open code files.
Manage destination environments with this MCP Server
The `get_destination` tool maps out your target warehouse settings for any environment group you query. Your agent uses `list_groups` to find the right environment, then pulls destination hostnames to configure your local development environment variables. This automation cuts down the time spent hunting for database endpoints during local setup. You get the exact destination parameters injected into your configuration files automatically.
