Process Bulk Data from the Command Line

The `estimate_genders_bulk` tool is made for the terminal. You can pipe a text file of names directly into Claude Code and get a clean JSON output. It's designed for scripting and headless environments where you need to enrich data without a GUI. Chain it with other command-line utilities like `jq` to parse the results or `tee` to save them to a file. This turns a multi-step API integration into a single, clean shell command.

Integrate into CI/CD and Cron Jobs

Automate data processing in your deployment pipelines. Use this MCP server in a GitHub Action or a Jenkins job to enrich user data as part of a larger workflow. For example, pull names from a database, pipe them through `estimate_gender`, and load the results into a warehouse. You can also use the `verify_api_connection` tool in a simple cron job. Have it run every hour to check the Genderize.io service status and trigger an alert if it fails. It's simple, scriptable monitoring.

Use the Right Tool for the Right Country

Your scripts can be smarter than a single endpoint. The server provides targeted tools like `estimate_gender_spain` and `estimate_gender_france`. A simple shell script can parse your input data and direct names to the correct tool based on a country code column. This lets you build more accurate data processing pipelines directly in the terminal. No need for complex application code to handle routing; it's all managed with simple tool calls through your AI agent.

Common questions about Genderize MCP in Claude Code

Run `claude mcp add --transport http genderize -- ` in your terminal. The name `genderize` is how you'll refer to it. Use `claude mcp list` to confirm it's connected.
Absolutely. Since Claude Code is a CLI, you can install it in your runner and call the Genderize tools as part of any CI/CD workflow. It's ideal for headless data processing.
The output is JSON, so pipe it to a tool like `jq`. This lets you easily extract the `gender` or `probability` fields, count results, or reformat the data for the next step in your script.
Yes, use the `verify_api_connection` tool. It returns a simple success or failure message, perfect for a quick check in a script before you run a large batch of names.
The first names you pipe to Claude Code are the only data sent. The connection from your terminal or CI runner to the Vinkius MCP server is encrypted. The server instance handling your request is ephemeral and doesn't store your data.
