How to Use the Genderize MCP in Cline
Tell Cline to build a user analytics component in VS Code. It will use Genderize to fetch and display gender probability data automatically.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Genderize MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect Genderize to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Generate Code with Real Data
Ask Cline to write a script that processes a list of names. It won't just give you boilerplate. Cline will actually call the `estimate_genders_bulk` tool from this MCP server, get the real probabilities, and then write the Python or JS code to handle that data. You get a working script, not just a template. Cline's ability to execute tools and write code in the same workflow means you can go from a simple prompt to a functional, data-driven utility in one step.
Prototype UI Components Instantly
Use Cline to scaffold parts of your application's UI. For example, say "create a React component that shows the likely gender for a name." Cline will use the `estimate_gender` tool, generate the JSX, and even include the API call logic. This is perfect for building internal dashboards or quick prototypes. You're not just getting code; you're getting a working component populated with data from the Genderize service, right inside VS Code.
Build Data Validation Steps with Cline
Incorporate a quick data quality check into your workflow. Before you commit a new user list, you can have Cline run the names through the `estimate_gender_us` or `estimate_gender_uk` tools. It helps you flag potential inconsistencies in your data based on regional name differences. Because Cline operates inside your IDE, it can create a file with the results, show you a diff, or stage the output for commit. It turns a manual data check into a simple, automated command.
