Headless review queries

This server lets your terminal query Gerrit data without a browser. You pipe a command to Claude Code, and it hits `query_changes` to find exactly what broke. It pulls the specific revision with `list_patchsets` and dumps the status to stdout. Background audits just work. Hook it up to a cron job, and the agent parses `get_change` data every morning to generate a raw text report of stale reviews.

Automated branch verification

CI pipelines fail when people push to the wrong target. Your agent validates the destination by running `list_branches` before executing a deployment script. It pulls the repository details using `get_project` to confirm the state. Guessing if a project actually exists is over. The CLI pulls the full directory via `list_projects` and fails fast if the target is missing.

Claude Code MCP Server integration

Managing permissions across a massive Gerrit instance sucks. This MCP Server lets your terminal agent audit the security model by pulling data from `list_groups` and mapping out the owners. It checks your current access level with `get_account` and verifies your aliases using `list_emails`. You get a clear picture of who can approve what, without clicking through nested settings menus.

Common questions about Gerrit MCP in Claude Code

Run `claude mcp add --transport http gerrit-mcp -- `. Make sure you put all your flags before the server name. Verify the installation with `claude mcp list`.
Yes. Since the agent runs headlessly, you trigger it from a GitHub Action or a Jenkins job to pull change statuses and verify reviewers automatically.
Tell the CLI to look up your specific commit. It runs the `list_reviewers` tool and outputs exactly whose approval is missing.
The standard implementation relies on HTTP/HTTPS access. Your terminal agent talks to the REST API endpoints, so you need standard web credentials rather than an SSH key.
We operate on a zero-trust architecture. The integration fetches commit authors, patch set metadata, and group owners, but nothing is retained after the session ends. Your terminal connects directly to the ephemeral sandbox.
