Command-Line Firm Audits with Claude Code

The `list_work_items` tool fetches all active project engagements directly into your shell. Claude Code lets you query this list, filter by status, and pipe the output into standard terminal utilities like grep or jq. You don't need a heavy browser interface to see what is stuck. This MCP Server setup turns your command line into a high-speed reporting dashboard for your accounting firm.

Headless Contact Management via CLI

The `create_contact` tool registers new people or organizations directly from a terminal command. When you're processing a batch of new clients, you can feed a text file to Claude Code and let it run. The agent uses `list_people` and `list_organizations` to verify the database state before execution. It keeps your terminal-based onboarding scripts fast and clean.

Automate Task Lists in CI/CD Pipelines

The `list_work_tasks` tool retrieves specific checklists for any active work item during automated build runs. You can script Claude Code to run in a GitHub Action, checking off deployment steps as they pass. Using `update_work_item`, the CLI agent updates the project status to reflect successful deployments. It bridges the gap between your development pipelines and your firm's administrative tracking.
