Build Live Matrix/Element Dashboards with Cline
The `get_room_state` tool retrieves metadata to fuel your local interfaces. Cline reads this state via the MCP connection, writes the React components, and binds the room data without you writing a line of code. To keep the data fresh, Cline integrates `sync_client` into your local test suites. It runs the tests, checks the logs, and commits the code once the integration works.
Automated Directory Searches and Invites
The `search_user_directory` tool locates specific team members across your homeserver. Cline uses the active MCP Server to search the directory, find the right handles, and invite them to newly created spaces. If a room requires special access, Cline uses `knock_room` or `join_room` to handle the entry protocol. It manages the entire membership lifecycle from the VS Code sidebar.
Secure File and Media Transfers
The `upload_media` tool pushes local assets directly to your Matrix rooms. Cline grabs build artifacts, uploads them via the MCP client, and posts the resulting URI. For incoming files, Cline executes `download_media` to pull attachments into your workspace. It handles the raw binary transfers so you can inspect assets locally.
