Terminal-Based News Ingestion

The `get_news` tool dumps raw JSON or formatted text directly into your terminal stdout. Keep your workflow inside the CLI, and run a single command to have your agent fetch live updates. This setup is perfect for shell scripts and automated cron jobs. Instead of opening a browser, you get instant access to global current events directly from your command line.

Source Auditing via MCP Server

The `list_sources` tool scans over 7,500 media outlets directly from your command line. This MCP Server lets your terminal agent quickly scan publishers and filter them by country or category. The output is clean and structured. Your agent can instantly parse the source list, grep for specific publishers, and prepare configuration files for your deployment pipelines.

Automated Historical Scraping

The `get_news` tool retrieves archived news stories when you provide historical dates. Headless environments need reliable data fetching, and this tool lets your CLI agent pull past events to generate reports. You don't need to write custom Python scrapers. The agent handles the network calls, formats the text, and stores the results where your backend systems can read them.
