Build News Dashboards with Cline
The `get_news` tool pulls raw JSON headlines so Cline can build fully functional frontend dashboards. You can tell it to write a React dashboard, and it handles the layout while fetching live data directly. The entire process runs end-to-end. Your coding agent handles the API integration, writes tests for the news parser, and displays the running component without you writing a line of boilerplate.
Smart Publisher Auditing
The `list_sources` tool retrieves a list of verified publishers to keep your application clean. Cline uses this data to verify active media outlets and saves the filtered list to your project. This keeps your applications clean. By using this MCP Server, your agent ensures your news widgets only pull from active, verified domains instead of dead links.
Automated Archive Retrieval
The `get_news` tool accepts historical dates so your coding agent can build archives. Finding historical context is easy when your agent has direct access to this MCP toolset to locate older articles, extract key facts, and update files. No manual API testing. Cline handles the request, catches any formatting errors, and formats the output into clean JSON or markdown files in your workspace.
