Connect Mediastack MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Mediastack to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Inject live news data into Cursor codebases
The `get_news` tool fetches real-time articles directly into Cursor so your AI agent can write code using live data payloads. You get actual JSON responses to build news widgets or data pipelines instead of relying on outdated training data. This direct integration means you can test your parser logic against active news feeds. Your editor handles the API requests, giving you instant feedback on how your code processes current headlines.
Verify publisher endpoints using this MCP Server
The `list_sources` tool pulls the entire index of 7,500+ news outlets directly into your Cursor editor. Your agent uses this list to map publisher IDs and verify which domains are available for your application. Having this metadata handy prevents runtime errors caused by invalid source codes. You can write your filtering configurations with the confidence that every source exists.
Test historical data parsers
The `get_news` tool retrieves historical news articles based on specific dates to help you debug data ingestion scripts in Cursor. You test how your code handles older article formats and varying metadata schemas. Running these historical queries during development helps you catch edge cases in date formatting. You ensure your application remains stable when processing archives without leaving your active workspace.
