End-to-end draft creation inside Cline

The `create_draft` tool allows Cline to push your local VS Code markdown files directly to your Medium drafts folder. Cline reads your VS Code workspace files, formats the front matter, and uploads the content to Medium. Because Cline has full VS Code workspace access, it can write a code snippet, run tests to verify it works, and then package the entire guide into a Medium draft. You get verified technical content posted to Medium without leaving the Cline sidebar.

Live publication routing with Cline

The `list_my_publications` tool pulls your active Medium publication list so Cline can map your posts to the correct editorial boards. Cline matches your VS Code workspace context to your target Medium publication before publishing. This MCP Server setup ensures you never accidentally post internal developer drafts to your public-facing Medium feed using Cline. Cline checks the Medium publication destination first, then runs `create_publication_post` to finish the job inside VS Code.

Instant profile verification in Cline

The `get_authenticated_user` tool retrieves your Medium account details to confirm Cline is writing to the correct profile. Cline uses this step to verify your Medium session before executing any write commands. This verification prevents accidental posts to the wrong Medium account when managing multiple brand profiles in Cline. Cline checks your Medium credentials, displays your profile name in VS Code, and asks for confirmation if the destination changes.
