Terminal-based Nuclino control

Claude Code uses `list_items` to pull inventory directly into your shell. It's built for SREs and devs who need to query documentation without leaving the terminal. You can pipe the output from `list_items` into other scripts to automate your report generation. It treats your wiki like a data source.

Headless knowledge sync

Use `update_item` in your CI/CD pipelines to keep your docs fresh. Claude Code executes these commands without any GUI interaction, making it perfect for cron jobs. It connects to your workspace using `list_workspaces` to scope the target. This ensures your automated updates always hit the right destination.

Discovery through CLI

Finding organizational units is fast with `list_teams`. Claude Code uses this to set the base context for every subsequent command. It then uses `list_collections` to traverse your document graph. You get a clear view of your workspace structure in your terminal output.

Common questions about Nuclino MCP in Claude Code

Yes, use `search_items` to perform semantic lookups. Claude Code returns the matching page titles and IDs directly in your command line.
The server uses an endpoint token provided during setup. This token is passed securely to verify your access to specific Nuclino teams and workspaces.
It supports `delete_item`, but you should always verify the ID first. The server requires you to confirm the action to avoid destroying knowledge by mistake.
Run `claude mcp list` to check the status of your server. If it's active, the agent can call `list_teams` to confirm it sees your account.
Your credentials are stored in your local `~/.claude.json` file. The server processes requests locally and does not transmit your private keys to unauthorized endpoints.
