Build Components with Cline MCP Server

Cline can pull scheduling data directly into your workspace files. For instance, you tell it to build a dashboard component based on project timelines. It will fetch the view using `get_timeline_view` and structure the resulting code, handling imports and API calls for you.

Audit Dependencies with Cline MCP Server

Before committing any feature, run a dependency check. You can list all available projects (`list_workspace_projects`) or tags (`list_workspace_tags`). Cline uses this data to write validation functions and associated unit tests right in the same directory.

Update Task Status with Cline MCP Server

Need to change a task's status? Instead of manually editing files, you can pass updates as a JSON object using `update_timeline_task`. Cline handles this structured data flow, making sure the state change is correctly implemented in your component logic.

Common questions about Toggl Plan MCP in Cline

Cline uses the MCP Server to fetch data and then immediately acts on it. For example, you ask it to write a report based on project scope; Cline calls `list_workspace_projects`, gets the list, and generates the corresponding code component.
Yes. If you need a script that verifies milestones before compiling, Cline can use the `list_milestones` tool to fetch markers, write validation checks for them, and stage the resulting code.
The server interacts primarily with project names, task details (via `get_task_details`), and team member lists. Since Cline executes end-to-end tasks, it processes this raw scheduling data into structured code objects.
Absolutely. You can write a test script that runs in the terminal, calling the MCP Server to check project dependencies or list available tasks, ensuring your build fails if the plan is incomplete.
