Connect LiveKit Real-Time Rooms MCP to Cline
Create your Vinkius account to connect LiveKit Real-Time Rooms to Cline and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Control user presence and details
You can use `list_participants` to get a full roster of who's in the room. Better yet, run `get_participant` if you only need detailed info on one specific person. It pulls all the necessary data points for your task. Sometimes you just gotta clean up. Running `remove_participant` ensures that user is out and their token is revoked, which is key when building secure components.
Update room context and messages
Build state into your component using `update_room_metadata`. Just feed it a JSON string, and the room's data changes. Meanwhile, for communication, `send_data` blasts messages to everyone in the call. You choose 'reliable' or 'lossy' delivery. Need to track who did what? Use `update_participant_metadata` to stick structured data right onto a user's profile.
Manage session lifecycle
To start testing, call `create_room` and get the necessary access token. This sets up your live environment for local testing or staging. Don't forget to use `delete_room` when you're done so resources don't leak. Also, if you need to silence a user, `mute_track` controls their audio feed without removing them from the room.
