Calculating Moving Averages in Cursor
When you need a trend indicator, use the `get_ema` tool. EMA gives more weight to recent prices than SMA does, which is important for fast-moving code contexts. For basic comparison, `get_sma` works too. You can pass common periods like 20, 50, or 200 directly into the function call.
Analyzing Crypto and Forex with Twelve Data
Need to check exchange rates? Call `get_exchange_rate` for immediate currency conversions. For crypto pairs, use `get_forex_list` to see what's available across different markets. This also covers general market data; you can grab a list of available stocks using `get_stock_list`.
Getting Indicators within the Cursor Agent
The `get_stochastic` tool measures how far price has moved in relation to its recent range. Values above 80 or below 20 are key indicators for overbought/oversold conditions. Similarly, if you call `get_rsi`, values above 70 mean it’s overbought and below 30 means it's oversold. Both give you crucial context mid-code.
