Automated Technical Indicator Analysis via MCP Server
Cascade reads the raw price data, calculates indicators like `get_rsi` (Relative Strength Index) or `get_macd`, and determines if a symbol is overbought or oversold. You just set the goal—it figures out the whole sequence. It handles multiple steps automatically. For instance, it can check Bollinger Bands to see if a price touched an upper band, then run `get_ema` against that data point without you having to prompt for each indicator.
Historical Data Retrieval and Comparisons
Need to compare how a stock performed over different timeframes? You can set the goal to fetch historical OHLCV candle data using `get_time_series`. It supports intervals from 1min all the way up to 1month. It makes sense of complex requests. Tell it 'show me X's performance last quarter,' and Windsurf grabs all the necessary candles, handling the dates and time zones for you.
Cross-Market Symbol Discovery
Don't know which symbol to check? The MCP Server lets you discover assets across markets. You can use `get_stock_list` or `get_crypto_list` and filter the results by exchange name. This is huge for planning. Cascade figures out if you need a stock quote, a forex pair (`get_forex_list`), or crypto data, and it handles running the right tool to get your full picture.
