How to Use the Type.fit MCP in Google ADK
Type.fit: Generating Quotes with Google ADK
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Type.fit MCP to Google ADK
Create your Vinkius account to connect Type.fit to Google ADK and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Contextualizing Enterprise Reports
Need to make a massive report feel less dry? Use `get_quotes` to pull relevant motivational quotes directly into your narrative. It elevates the tone without requiring manual copy/paste. Since you're working with Gemini and BigQuery, this ensures that even highly technical data sets can be framed by something human and accessible.
Extending Long-Context Reasoning
When your agent is holding 1M+ tokens of context from a large document set, inserting a quote via `get_quotes` breaks up the density. It gives the model a natural place to pause and reorient. This helps maintain focus across incredibly long reasoning chains that BigQuery data often requires.
Integrating MCP Tools into Google Cloud Agents
You can easily expose `get_quotes` as one of the tools available to your LlmAgent. This makes Type.fit an intrinsic part of your core Google Cloud workflow. Passing it via `McpToolset` means that quote generation becomes a first-class, managed service within your enterprise stack.
Set up Type.fit MCP in Google ADK
Prerequisites
- Python 3.10+ installed
-
google-adkpackage (pip install google-adk) - Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token
- 1
Install Google ADK
Run
pip install google-adkto install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via theMcpToolsetclass. - 2
Connect via SSE transport
Use
McpToolset.from_server()withSseServerParamspointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Create an LlmAgent
Pass the returned
mcp_toolslist directly toLlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required. - 4
Run with any Gemini model
The agent works with any Gemini model (
gemini-2.0-flash,gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Type.fit tools in your ADK agent.
from google.adk.agents import LlmAgent
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_toolset import McpToolset
from google.adk.tools.mcp_tool.mcp_session_manager import SseServerParams
# Connect to the MCP via SSE
mcp_tools, exit_stack = await McpToolset.from_server(
connection_params=SseServerParams(
url="https://edge.vinkius.com/[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]/mcp"
)
)
# Create your agent with auto-discovered tools
agent = LlmAgent(
name="Type.fit_agent",
model="gemini-2.0-flash",
instruction="You have access to Type.fit tools via MCP.",
