CI/CD Deployment with MCP Server

Build full deployment steps directly into your shell script using `create_load_balancer` and `list_networks`. Your pipeline runs the necessary calls to provision the entire network layer, including dedicated SDN private networks via `create_network`. Because it's terminal-only, the output is clean and machine-readable. You pipe the result of an IP check (`list_ips`) directly into a server creation command (`create_server`), making your scripts reliable.

Need to verify if a resource is ready before deployment? Run `get_host` or `get_server` in your script. This gives you the current state of compute assets, which determines if subsequent steps (like running `restart_server`) are even necessary. Set up UpCloud MCP in Claude Code

Prerequisites

  • Claude Code CLI installed (npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code)
  • Active Vinkius subscription with a valid endpoint token

    Run the add command

    Open your terminal and run the command shown on the right. Replace [YOUR_TOKEN_HERE] with your endpoint token from cloud.vinkius.com. Use --scope user to make it available across all projects.

    Verify the connection

    Start a Claude Code session and type /mcp to list connected servers. You should see upcloud-mcp with a green status indicator.

    Start using tools

    Ask Claude Code something like "Check my latest UpCloud transactions." It will automatically discover and invoke the available UpCloud tools.
