Retrieve Player Details in Cursor

Use `get_player_details` to fetch a specific video player's technical metadata. The agent calls this tool and injects the live JSON response directly into your function body. You can also use `list_video_players` if you need a loop or map over all available players in your code.

Manage Vidyard Assets for Cursor

Need to verify video stats? Call `get_video_details` and the live data pops into your script. To see what's available, run `list_videos`, letting you iterate over asset names right in your code. When building embeds, use `get_video_source_files` to grab direct stream URLs that your app needs.

Build Vidyard Logic with MCP Server

The agent can handle player creation using `create_empty_player`, which returns a usable ID you can immediately reference. If cleanup is needed, the tool provides `delete_video_asset` and `delete_video_player`. Be careful, though; these actions are irreversible. For display consistency, use `update_player_name` to set the title variable in your code.

Common questions about Vidyard MCP in Cursor

You let the agent execute `list_videos`. The output is live and injected into your current file, letting you write against real asset names instantly.
Yes. Call `get_player_details` with the necessary ID. The resulting data structure is ready to be used in your code's logic branches or variables.
The agent executes the tool and feeds the actual API response into the context of the code you are writing. It never uses mock data, which is a huge time saver.
It handles player IDs, video asset metadata, and direct stream URLs (like 480p or 720p). Basically, it's the core structural info for your videos.
The server retrieves player details and video metadata. You are working with non-sensitive identifiers and stream URLs; no user account credentials are exposed via the basic tools.
