How to Use the Vidyard MCP in Cursor
Call Vidyard API tools directly into your code with Cursor.
Works with every AI agent you already use
…and any MCP-compatible client
Connect Vidyard MCP to Cursor
Create your Vinkius account to connect Vidyard to Cursor and route execution through our secure gateway. The platform manages server hosting, runtime updates, and security layers. Configuration requires no manual server provisioning.
Retrieve Player Details in Cursor
Use `get_player_details` to fetch a specific video player's technical metadata. The agent calls this tool and injects the live JSON response directly into your function body. You can also use `list_video_players` if you need a loop or map over all available players in your code.
Manage Vidyard Assets for Cursor
Need to verify video stats? Call `get_video_details` and the live data pops into your script. To see what's available, run `list_videos`, letting you iterate over asset names right in your code. When building embeds, use `get_video_source_files` to grab direct stream URLs that your app needs.
Build Vidyard Logic with MCP Server
The agent can handle player creation using `create_empty_player`, which returns a usable ID you can immediately reference. If cleanup is needed, the tool provides `delete_video_asset` and `delete_video_player`. Be careful, though; these actions are irreversible. For display consistency, use `update_player_name` to set the title variable in your code.
