Connect Vidyard MCP to Google ADK

Video Player Management via MCP Server
The agent can list all video players with `list_video_players`, giving you a full view of your installed facades. It also allows updating the visual label or title of an existing player using `update_player_name`. This gives your Google ADK-powered system granular control over presentation assets.
Attaching and Detailing Video Assets
When you need to embed a specific video, the agent uses `attach_video_to_player` by passing both the player ID and the video ID. For background checks, `get_video_details` fetches technical metadata for any asset. It's also possible to retrieve direct stream URLs with `get_video_source_files`, which supports multiple qualities.
Cleaning Up Containers and Assets
The MCP Server handles the full lifecycle. You can permanently delete a video container using `delete_video_player`. If you need to remove an asset, `delete_video_asset` takes it out of Vidyard for good. This ensures your agents maintain a clean and accurate inventory of resources.

Install Google ADK
Run
pip install google-adkto install the Agent Development Kit. MCP support is included via theMcpToolsetclass. - 2
Connect via SSE transport
Use
McpToolset.from_server()withSseServerParamspointing to your Vinkius endpoint. Replace[YOUR_TOKEN_HERE]with your token from cloud.vinkius.com. - 3
Create an LlmAgent
Pass the returned
mcp_toolslist directly toLlmAgent(tools=mcp_tools). The ADK maps each MCP tool to a native Gemini function call — no manual schema definitions required. - 4
Run with any Gemini model
The agent works with any Gemini model (
gemini-2.0-flash,gemini-2.5-pro, etc.). Copy the full example on the right to get started with Vidyard tools in your ADK agent.
